Williamson’s prowess at the crease helped Hyderabad to victory with a smashing half – century. Williamson was unbeaten on 50 off 44 balls with two sixes and four fours. Jason Holder, who became the spearhead of Hyderabad in bowling with three wickets, also excelled in batting. Williamson added 24 off 20 balls with three fours. Holder Vijayaran hit nine fours in the final over to take the victory to nine. Williamson and Holder added 65 runs for the sixth wicket as Hyderabad lost four wickets for 67 runs.
Sunrisers will take on Delhi Capitals in the second qualifier on Sunday.
