Show cause notices issued to 7 government officials who participated in Raj Bhavan March

Thiruvananthapuram – The Chief Secretary issued a show cause notice to 7 senior officials of the Secretariat who participated in the Raj Bhavan march organized by the LDF demanding protection of the higher education sector. It is suggested to give an explanation within a week. The leaders of the left organization in the Secretariat took part in the march. The governor had asked to explain the actions taken against the officers who participated in the political march against the rules.

LDF organized a Raj Bhavan march against the Governor on the 15th. It was announced that one lakh people will participate in the procession. CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury inaugurated the march. BJP state president K. Surendran raised the allegation that government officials had taken part in the procession. Later, BJP District President VV Rajesh submitted a complaint to the Governor. The names of the officers and pictures of the marchers were exchanged. The complaint was then forwarded to the Chief Secretary by the Governor.
