Confirming the news, Lee’s wife, singer Bae Da-hae, revealed the details on her popular YouTube channel, ‘Da-hae is Da-hae’. She uploaded a video titled ‘And Jang Won-ri, who voluntarily stops drinking coffee…’, wherein she shared the couple’s visit to an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) clinic for a vocal cord examination.
During the examination, Bae Da-hae was informed that her vocal cords were congested, possibly due to gastric acid reflux. However, she reassured her fans that the condition was manageable and under control.
Unfortunately, the diagnosis for Lee Jang-won was less optimistic, as he was diagnosed with vocal cord nodules. Devastated by the news, he expressed his thoughts to Bae Da-hae, stating that retirement might be necessary due to this condition.
Witnessing her husband’s distress, Bae Da-hae provided words of comfort, telling him not to despair and assuring him that it was not a grave situation.
