Six years after his stellar performance in domestic cricket, the youngster joins the Indian team

Mumbai: All-rounder Rishi Dhawan is likely to be included in India’s squad for next month’s ODI series against the West Indies. The player can be helped by his explosive performance in domestic cricket. Rishi made his debut in 2016 when MS Dhoni was the captain.

He played three ODIs and one T20I for India. Rishi’s last international match was against Zimbabwe the same year. The 31-year-old Rishi has scored just 12 runs in three ODIs. The highest score was nine runs.

In T20I, he scored just one run in a match. When it comes to bowling, Rishi has taken one wicket each in ODIs and T20s. He captained Himachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy this season.

He scored 458 runs in the tournament and took 17 wickets. The squad for the ODI series against the Windies will be announced by the selection committee under Chetan Sharma this week.
