Seoul – In a unique and technologically advanced gesture, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won utilized artificial intelligence (AI) technology to send Chuseok greetings via a teenager’s profile.
On the 27th, Chairman Chey took to his Instagram account to share photographs of students from the 1990s that were expertly restored using AI services. Alongside the photos, he expressed his well wishes for a happy Chuseok celebration.
Reflecting on his busy schedule, Chairman Chey remarked, “I am constantly running, with little time to spare. It seems like I spend more time on airplanes than on solid ground these days.”
He then referred to the AI-generated student album from the 1990s, named “The Pandemic,” stating, “Perhaps it’s because I was already in my 30s during that era, but I realize that I have missed out on a lot.” Adding a touch of humor, he quipped, “I sincerely apologize in advance to any innocent individuals who may be mistaken for me due to the resemblance.”
Notably, Chairman Chey’s roommate, Kim Hee-young, who is also the chairman of the T&C Foundation, shared a photo of herself created using the same AI service.
