Billboard, a well-known American media, announced the list of “2022 Indie Power Players” through its official website on June 6 (local time). SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as “SM”) jointly represented Lee Sung-soo and Zhuo Rongjun on the list, once again proving SM’s Global reach.
“Indie Power Players” is Billboard’s annual release since 2017, in addition to Universal Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Warner Music Group, the three major US record companies, and the record and distribution companies that have achieved exclusive results in the global music market. The list of leaders, including representatives of Lee Sung-soo and Zhuo Rong-jun this year, as well as representatives of other well-known record companies such as Disney Music, were selected together.
Billboard said, “NCT member JOHNNY was invited to this year’s Met Gala in New York, and aespa performed on the main stage of Coachella,” introducing the global activities of SM artists.
