In the United States, a private jet plane crashed and burned in a dizzying accident, but a miraculous event occurred in which all 21 people on board managed to escape safely.

According to Reuters news on the 19th local time, a ‘McDonnell Douglas (MD)-87’ plane crashed into a fence outside the runway during takeoff at an airport near Houston, Texas, USA.

The plane was carrying 18 passengers and 3 crew members. But fortunately, they escaped safely just before the plane was engulfed in flames. One of the passengers was a 10-year-old child, CNN reported.

The Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office said two people were injured in the incident but were not life-threatening.

The plane is owned by a Houston-based homebuilder and passengers are said to have been on board to watch Game 4 of the MLB American League Championship Series in Boston.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said the plane crashed into a fence after failing to gain altitude at the end of the runway, soared up to 500 feet (152.4 meters) and crashed into a field north of the airport. Witnesses said the plane stopped after it crossed the field.

After the passengers evacuated, the plane caught fire and quickly turned to ashes, creating a disastrous scene with only the tail of the aircraft remaining.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the FAA are planning to investigate the cause of the plane crash.
