The incident took place on Wednesday night. According to an NBC Washington report, the neighbor reported the information to police. The neighbor came home suspicious after the landlord went missing for a whole day. He was lying unconscious on the floor at the time. He then informed the police.

The snakes were found when police went to the house and inspected it. Police said they found a 14-foot-long yellow Burmese snake in the house. Police said the body had been sent for postmortem.
