Sohn Hak-gyu announces his candidacy for president tomorrow… fourth challenge

Former Bareun Mirae Party leader Sohn Hak-gyu will hold a press conference on the 29th and announce his candidacy for president.

According to former CEO Sohn, at 2:30 pm on the same day, he plans to announce his intention to run for president at the House Cafe in Yeouido, Seoul.

Seol Young-ho, former spokesman for the Democratic Party’s election committee, said, “I earnestly hope that the news of Chairman Son’s departure will be reported and well recognized by the public.”

Earlier on the 13th, ex-CEO Sohn broke the long silence and said, “The people’s minds watching the presidential election are not happy. All of them have higher unfavorability than favorability, so it is an evaluation that there is no suitable candidate to shoot to the extent that the word ‘unfavorable presidential election’ is circulated.” “The president has a responsibility to resolve political conflicts and unite the people so that the Republic of Korea has the ability to cope with a global transformation,” he said.

This is Son’s fourth challenge following the 17th, 18th and 19th presidential elections. He left the Grand National Party ahead of the 17th presidential election and ran for the presidential primary of the United Democratic Party, but lost to Chung Dong-young. In the 18th presidential primary, he was unable to overcome the Democratic Party candidate Moon Jae-in at the time and had a difficult time. In the 19th presidential election, he lost to Ahn Cheol-soo in the presidential primary of the People’s Party.
