Some injuries were reported after fire in senior living apartments in West Virginia



LEWISBURG, WV – Firefighters were called to battle a flame at Lewisburg Manor, a senior residential apartment complex on Thursday.

According to Lewisburg Fire Chief, Joseph Thomas, the fire started around 7 p.m. and it was on the third floor of the 102 room complex but is available.

Chief Executive Thomas stated that some injuries had been reported and the victims were being transported to district hospitals. Four people were injured but their injuries are unknown at this time.

According to Chief Thomas, everyone who lives in the complex needs to move because of safety precautions. An emergency shelter was established at the Rhema Christian Center.

The first respondents are advising people to pick up their loved ones if possible.
