Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah is the top scorer in the Premier League with 22 goals. Heung-Min Son (Tottenham Hotspur) in second place has only one goal difference.
Heung-Min Son has already finished the 37th round without a goal against Burnley, leaving Heung-Min Son with one game left and Salah with two games remaining.
However, Salah will miss out against Southampton in the 37th round due to injury concerns. Salah was substituted after complaining of muscle pain during the first half of the FA Cup final against Chelsea on the 15th.
Liverpool are still in the Champions League final. This decision was made in order to prevent the injury of key striker Salah from worsening.
In an interview with the British ‘BBC’, manager Jurgen Klopp said, “It’s positive. We are realistic about the Wolverhampton game, but it’s not tomorrow’s game.”
Now, both players competing for the top scorer have one game left. Liverpool face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the final match, while Tottenham face Norwich City, bottom of the league. There is also the possibility that Liverpool will save Salah in the match against Wolverhampton. It is noteworthy whether Son Heung-min will succeed in the reverse play of the scoring competition.
