Delhi: Congress leader Sonia Gandhi says 2024 Lok Sabha elections should be the ultimate goal of the Opposition. At a meeting of opposition leaders, Sonia Gandhi suggested that preparations for this should begin now. Opposition groups called for a boycott of the assembly. There should be moves that give priority to the national interest beyond the party interest. Sonia Gandhi said in the meeting that she was confident that the Opposition would move forward together against the Narendra Modi government.

The meeting of opposition leaders convened under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi is in progress. Today is the second opposition meeting called by Sonia Gandhi during the Kovid epidemic. The meeting will decide on appropriate agitations against the government, including the Pegasus phone leak, the farmers’ strike and the rise in fuel prices. Earlier, during the monsoon session of Parliament, the opposition was more united than ever. Sonia’s suggestion is to proceed in this manner. Leaders like Mamata Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, MK Stalin, Uddhav Thackeray, Sitaram Yechury and D Raja are attending the meeting.

In this time of the second outbreak of the Kovid epidemic, Asianet News urges everyone to wear masks, sanitize, maintain social distance and be vaccinated. Together we can defeat the epidemic. #BreakTheChain #ANCares #IndiaFightsCorona
