Today, Sony finally confirmed the rumored new subscription system for the PlayStation. Sony Interactive Entertainment President and CEO Jim Ryan announced in a blog today (29) that Sony will launch a new PlayStation Plus subscription service that integrates PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now in June this year. The new subscription system is divided into three membership levels, bringing more choices to customers.

With the launch of the new PlayStation Plus service, PlayStation Now will be integrated into the new service rather than being a standalone service. PlayStation Now customers will transition to PlayStation Plus Premium, and there will be no increase in their current subscription fees when the new service is launched.
In view of the large scale of the launch of the new PlayStation Plus service, Sony will launch it in stages. The service will roll out first in several markets in Asia in June, followed by North America, Europe and other PlayStation Plus-enabled regions around the world. The new PlayStation Plus game subscription service is expected to be available in most PlayStation Network-enabled regions by the end of the first half of 2022.
