Sony lacks chips, Japan’s a7C and a6600 cameras are suspended

Sony announced that due to the shortage of global semiconductors, the accumulation time of parts required for production has been delayed, and the reservation service of a7C, a6600 and other mirrorless digital cameras at Sony Internet stores and special stores in Japan has been temporarily suspended.

On the other hand, it was announced on November 19 that the a7II mirrorless camera series and the a6100 black machine, which were suspended for the same reason, will not be able to accumulate the required parts in the near future. The production will end on December 23. The production of this camera will be completely discontinued.

Japan’s Sony apologized for the inconvenience caused to users, and will do its best to provide products that have been temporarily suspended in the future. In Japan, the status will be updated at any time on the official website.
