South Korea to recall 54,000 cars due to a defect

SEOUL, June 7 (Xinhua) – Wednesday (June 7) the Ministry of Land. South Korea’s infrastructure and transportation revealed that a group of four domestic and foreign automakers will voluntarily recall 54,412 vehicles due to manufacturing defects.

Kia Motors will recall 48,025 vehicles from six models due to dashboard software errors. Volkswagen Group Korea will recall 4,815 ID.4 electric SUVs due to faulty door latches.

Stellantis Korea will recall 1,479 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles due to a faulty propeller shaft, while Ford Sales and Service Korea (Sales & Service Korea) will recall 93 Ranger Wildtrak vehicles to correct a faulty front wheel shock absorber.

The ministry said motor vehicle owners can go to various repair and service centers. to replace defective parts free of charge
