Haaland’s next stroke – double pack at 5: 1 against Cologne

Everyone is talking about Erling Haaland at Borussia Dortmund. Austria’s footballer of the year 2019 also entered the shooter list for his second assignment in the dress of his new employer. As with the sensational triple pack debut at 5: 3 in Augsburg, the ex-Salzburg player stood out as a “joker”, ensured with a double pack (77th, 87th) the 5-1 final result in the home game against 1. FC Köln.

BVB, the only team still undefeated at home, also won its second spring game in the German Bundesliga and is at the forefront. The team of coach Lucien Favre pushed past Borussia Mönchengladbach to third place on Friday evening at the start of the 19th round, tied behind defending champion Bayern Munich. Leader RB Leipzig is missing four points. The “bulls” are in action at Adi Hütters Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday. The Munich reception with David Alaba Schalke 04, Gladbach is in action against Mainz in front of his own audience.

For BVB, the second win was easier to achieve than the first one, where last week they had won in Augsburg after a 1-3 deficit, mainly due to three Haaland goals. Many had therefore speculated with the Norwegian’s debut debut, which did not materialize.

The 19-year-old seems to be in the best of roles as a “joker”. He defeated Cologne goalkeeper Timo Horn less than a quarter of an hour after his substitution in the 65th minute after he parried Raphael Guerreiro’s graduation. The final point was more worth seeing: with a steep pass by Axel Witsel, he pushed the ball past Horn and then carried it almost from the baseline into the net.

Previously had scored for Dortmund’s Guerreiro (1st), Marco Reus (29th) and Jadon Sancho (48th). The Cologne team, where Florian Kainz came on for a break, only managed to get the honor from Mark Uth (65.). It was the first loss after four wins in a row for the 13th-placed guests. Dortmund has been unbeaten against the billy goats at home for 29 years.
