Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young departed for Greece.

The two players left for Greece via Incheon International Airport on the morning of the 15th. This fact was confirmed by a person close to the two players who knew the situation well.

Jae-Young Lee and Da-Young Lee have signed contracts with PAOK, Greece. The timing of the contract and the route were different.

It was reported in Greece that Dayoung Lee signed a contract with PAOK in June. This contract was made in consultation with Heungkuk Life Club.

Heungkuk Life Insurance promoted the registration of Jae-Young Lee and Da-Young Lee with the Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) ahead of the deadline for player registration on June 30. I tried to register first, and whether to participate or not to proceed according to the trend of public opinion. In addition, Lee Da-young played abroad and Lee Jae-young played domestically.

But this plan went awry. Fans took part in truck protests related to school violence, and public opinion deteriorated sharply as victims interviewed MBC. Heungkuk Life Insurance eventually gave up the registration of Jae-young Lee and Da-young Lee.

Afterwards, the two players had an interview with KBS, but this made the situation even more complicated. In the end, Heungkuk Life had no choice but to exclude Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young from the battlefield altogether.

Since then, it is believed that Jae-Young Lee signed a contract with PAOK of Greece through another route. The officials who helped Lee Da-young’s contract did not participate in Lee’s contract.

Both players have left the country. After arriving in the country, it seems that Greece will start adapting.

What matters is the future. First, there is the issue of issuance of the International Transfer Agreement (ITC). This part is blocked by the Korea Volleyball Association. However, Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young are highly likely to solve the problem at the FIVB (International Volleyball Federation) through a local agent or a PAOK club.

It is true that Jae-young Lee and Da-young Lee caused a social scandal due to school violence in Korea, and although they partially acknowledged this, there is still a possibility that FIVB will continue their career as there is no criminal punishment.

However, it is interpreted that Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young gave up their domestic activities in that they left the country as if they were fleeing in the midst of the opposition of the Korea Volleyball Association and the fact that they could not change the opinion of the majority of the people.

The two players asked to watch the results of the investigation in a broadcast interview. However, the public opinion is expected to become even colder in that he left the country before the results of the investigation were released.

In a situation where it is important to create an atmosphere of reconciliation through a period of self-reflection, it is bitter that Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young left the country as if they were escaping.

Whether the two players will be able to play for Greece will be decided by the FIVB in mid-September.
