Jung Ho-yeon, who appeared in the Netflix drama ‘Squid Game’ and made known her face, told the reason why she decided to take on acting.
Jeong Ho-yeon appeared on tvN’s ‘You Quiz on the Block’, which aired on the 20th, and said, “In the process of my career as a model gradually descending, there were moments when I decided to try acting in earnest.”
Jeong Ho-yeon said, “We worry a lot when our careers are shrinking. It is true that there are many great careers that are known externally, but there have always been ups and downs in my career.”
Jeong Ho-yeon, who made her face known to the public by appearing in OnStyle’s ‘Challenge Supermodel Korea 4’ in 2013, said, “After ‘Dosuko’, I did a lot of work in Korea, but that gradually decreased. I was out,” he explained.
He continued, “My career went up again, and after about two years, things started to fall off one by one, and the show was canceled one by one. did,” he said.

He continued, “Models spend a lot of time alone. At the same time, all I can do is watch a movie or read a book.” “It became my hobby at some point. ‘I thought, ‘I wonder if it would be good if I could express myself like this’,” he added.
Jeong Ho-yeon said, “In a way, it seems that what started as an escape from reality became my motivation.” “From then on, I started thinking about acting. I take vacation once in summer and winter, and I continue to take acting lessons. I think I did it with the thought, ‘Now is the time to act,'” he said, explaining the background for appearing in ‘Squid Game’.
Jeong Ho-yeon, who said that such a decision led to the appearance of ‘Squid Game’, said, “I got a casting offer around February last year. While preparing for New York Fashion Week, I received a script, prepared it, filmed an audition video, and sent it. So I canceled all the schedules behind me and went.”
After the audition, he was cast, but he was not confident. I wasn’t confident And I had to stand shoulder to shoulder with famous and good seniors, but I was worried about whether I could do this. Fortunately, there was a friend named Yumi by my side, and I think we managed to survive by relying on each other.”
Jung Ho-yeon also expressed her gratitude to director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who showed faith in him. He said, “The director said, ‘I chose you because you were already dawn, and you are enough’. I have really gained a lot of confidence. Even if it’s not perfect, I’ll do my best to act as hard as I can now (I thought).”
