The scenery in late autumn has prolonged the peak tourist season in the northwest. However, the recent outbreak of the new crown pneumonia has not only disrupted the itinerary of tourists, some tourists are also temporarily unable to return due to the time and space of the confirmed cases. Gansu stopped all cultural and tourism activities, resolutely prevented the spread of the epidemic, and allowed stranded tourists to feel warmth in the care of the epidemic prevention and control personnel.

Suspend all cultural and tourism activities with more than 400 tourists stranded

On the 18th, a 60-member tour group from Lanzhou City, Gansu Province was passing through Jinta County, Jiuquan City, temporarily staying in accordance with the local epidemic prevention and control requirements.

According to the tour guide, this is a 4-day tour to see Populus euphratica in the golden autumn season. The members are mainly senior citizens. According to the original itinerary, after visiting the Populus euphratica scenic spot in Ejina Banner, Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on the 17th, return to Jiayuguan on the 18th, and then take the train back to Lanzhou.

The Deputy Director of the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism Wan Xuexue said that after the outbreak, with the increase in confirmed cases and the expansion of the scope of activities, the cultural and tourism departments of Gansu Province will completely stop all cultural tourism activities across the province, and completely suspend travel agencies and online tourism. Corporate team travel, close all tourist attractions and attractions in the province, close all cultural and entertainment venues, tourist performing arts venues, theaters, Internet service venues, and public cultural service venues in the province, so that cultural and tourism activities that may have the risk of spreading the epidemic “stop” Come down.

“Team travel involves a wide range, high mobility, and long chain. All travel agencies in the province have suspended group travel, terminated ongoing travel itineraries, closed the entrance for tourists from other provinces to enter Gansu, and’blocked’ the spread of the epidemic through the travel team. Export.” Wan Xue said.

According to statistics from the Gansu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, as of 24:00 on the 24th, there were 28 tourist teams from other provinces stranded in Gansu, involving 425 people, and 2 tourist teams from the province stranded in the province, totaling 60 people.

Properly arrange the stranded tourists to warm people’s hearts due to the “group” policy

Tourists stranded due to the impact of the epidemic “cannot visit the scenic spots” and “cannot return to their hometown”. The leading groups for epidemic prevention and control in various parts of Gansu will arrange personnel as soon as possible to properly arrange stranded tourists, listen carefully to their demands, coordinate and solve problems, and build a “heart-to-heart bridge” with sincere services.

In Jinta County, the local government provided a separate quarantine hotel for Lanzhou tour groups, and established a WeChat group for stranded tourists. Medical staff, public security police, and hotel logistics personnel are all in the group, making it convenient for stranded tourists to contact and make demands at any time.

Zhang Huizhen, a 69-year-old stranded tourist, said that many elderly people suffer from chronic diseases. As the trip to the Populus euphratica forest was originally scheduled to be short, they did not prepare many common medicines. During his stay in Gan, the local medical staff registered the medication needs of the elderly in detail and solved the medication problem. “When the hot soup medicine is delivered to our hands, our hearts are also warm.” Zhang Huizhen said.

Delivering meals according to taste, coordinating and pacifying the family… A tour group of 20 people in Kunming City, Yunnan Province, which is centrally isolated in Lanzhou City, has been warmly guarded by the local epidemic prevention and control staff.

Considering that most of the tour groups are elderly people, they try their best to arrange meals and fruits that suit the tastes of the elderly; in their free time, they also use the rice cooker at the isolation point to cook porridge, and “start a small stove” for the elderly.

When the elderly are away for a long time, their families will inevitably worry about them. The epidemic prevention and control staff actively coordinate with the travel agency where the tour group is located, feedback the situation to their family members, and appease the elderly and their families.

Some stranded tourists said in the WeChat group: “To comply with the epidemic prevention requirements, focus on observation, and conduct nucleic acid tests every day is the best protection for themselves and their families.”

Meet again after an orderly return journey

On the 24th, a 21-member tour group in Hangzhou, stranded in Dangchang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, went through multiple rounds of nucleic acid tests and met the return requirements, and then took a bus to embark on a journey home.

Wan Keke said that Gansu Province is organizing the return journey of stranded tourists in an orderly manner in accordance with relevant regulations on epidemic prevention and control. The cultural tourism, health and health departments send notification letters to the destination before the stranded tourists return to ensure that the destination has the relevant information of the stranded tourists in advance and implements follow-up control measures. At present, 98 stranded travel group tourists who are eligible for the return journey have returned to their hometowns.

Mr. Lu, a tourist from Hangzhou tour group, said that in the golden autumn of October, the Guan’egou scenic spot with lakes and mountains helped them embark on the journey. However, affected by the epidemic, they failed to enter the scenic spot as they wished, but accepted observation in the county hotel.

Dangchang County Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Film, Television and Tourism promised to make up for tourists’ regrets on this trip, Dangchang County will provide stranded tourists with ticket-free services for all A-level scenic spots in the territory by the end of 2022, and can bring 4 relatives and friends.

Mr. Lu said that this is still a tourist destination he yearns for, and they will come again after the flowers bloom.

The cultural and tourism departments of Jiayuguan City and other places also sent free tickets to group tourists stranded in the local area, and sincerely invite their relatives and friends to visit again after the epidemic.

For tourists who have not completed nucleic acid testing, Gansu will arrange nucleic acid testing as soon as possible, and return after they meet the conditions for the return trip; confirmed cases will be treated in isolation on the spot, and they will not be able to return until they are healthy, meet the conditions for discharge and complete observation.

The ground is full of fallen leaves, a golden color. A citizen of Zhangye posted a picture in the circle of friends: “It is more beautiful after the epidemic, and I look forward to seeing you again!”
