Kannur > A student died after being hit by a train near the Chirakkal Arpamthod railway gate. Nandita P Kishore (16) died at Rama Bhavan in Nichuwayal, Alavi. He is a student of Kakkad Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan School. Arpamthod level crossing was closed on Saturday morning due to passing train.
In the meantime, when the student tried to cross the level crossing, the train coming from the Mangalore side hit her. Nandita was seriously injured and brought to a private hospital in Kannur but died. Valapatnam police conducted an inquest on the body.
