The Censorship Committee deemed that the case violated Article 37 (Language) Paragraph 2 of the Regulations on Product Presentation and Sales Broadcast Discussion, and requested a statement of opinion from the production team. The statement of opinion is a process where the National Guard gives an opportunity to explain before imposing sanctions.
Afterwards, Jung Yoon-jung fought a war of words with netizens who criticized the swearing broadcast on social media, and responded, “You must hate me very much. Then, never watch my broadcast on Instagram. If you get angry, you get stressed out and it’s not good for your health.” I apologized in the end.
Meanwhile, the home shopping industry is showing Mr Jeong a ‘stop loss’ move. It is known that the three home shopping companies – Lotte, Hyundai, and CJ – decided to ban the product sales broadcast that Jung was supposed to appear on for about two weeks.
