Sudhakaran returns; KPCC list of office bearers in Trishanku | Kerala | Deshabhimani

As the dispute escalated, President K Sudhakaran returned from Delhi without submitting the KPCC list of office bearers. Former KPCC presidents VM Sudheeran, Mullappally Ramachandran and MM Hasan complained that they were not consulted on the appointment of office bearers. They said they did not even know who was on the list.

The controversy is over the names given by AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal for inclusion in the list. Three were required to be in charge. State leaders have lodged a complaint with Rahul Gandhi against the appointment of former KPCC secretary K Jayant. The groups also opposed changing the standards for some.

Opposition leader VD Satheesan’s claim that the talks with senior leaders were over was shattered by the revelations of former KPCC presidents. It became clear that Satheesan had misled the High Command. It is learned that AV Gopinath, who resigned from the Congress, has been included in the list. Padmaja Venugopal or Bindu Krishna will be the Vice President. K Sivadasan Nair, VS Sivakumar, VT Balram, VP Sajeendran and KS Sabrinathan also made the list. Jamal Manakadan from Ernakulam will be the treasurer.

The High Command has asked Sudhakaran to come up with a list to resolve the dispute with the senior leaders. In the first phase, discussions were held with Oommen Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala, but nothing happened later. Groups A and I are deeply dissatisfied with this.
