A suicide bomber blew himself up at a mosque in a southern Afghan city. At least 47 people have died, and no group has come forward to take responsibility.
Today (October 16, 2021), foreign news agencies reported that a suicide bombing occurred during religious ceremonies. at a mosque in Kandahar South Afghanistan on Tuesday (Oct 15) left at least 47 people dead and more than 70 injured.
The blast was the second violent incident in two weeks after last week. Islamic State has recently claimed responsibility for a suicide bomb attack on a mosque in Kunduz. northern part of the country resulting in the deaths of at least 55 people.
While this latest explosion No group has yet come forward to express responsibility. If IS is behind this incident It will be the first major attack in southern Afghanistan. ever since the US forces withdrew
