Suncheon Bay International Gardens Expo 2023 opened yesterday (31st).
This is a re-opening event after 10 years.
The seven-month long journey began with a grand opening ceremony held on a stage placed on the water.

Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo 2023 has opened.
“Comrade Koreans, I hope you will come to the Garden Expo, which will become a new standard for cities in the future, and gain great energy. I hereby declare the opening of the Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo forward.”
The opening ceremony, which brilliantly expressed the ‘living in the garden’ theme, raised expectations for the fair.
The fair, which is 270 times the size of a football pitch, has been transformed into a huge garden, and the reservoir created to prepare for flooding has been turned into a lawn square.
The asphalt road is also covered with green grass, and has been reborn as a healing place where anyone can rest comfortably.

The Suncheonman Bay International Gardens Expo began like a movie on a spring evening, eliciting exclamations and cheers from the audience.
