By Seon-yeol Oh, Reporter
The early fall weather provides the perfect opportunity for outdoor activities. One popular destination attracting visitors is Suncheon Bay National Garden, which has been transformed into a delightful floral paradise showcasing the beauty of the season.
With the clear sky and favorable weather conditions, the number of visitors to the National Garden has significantly increased. Vibrant fall flowers are in full bloom, captivating all who visit. In preparation for the Chuseok holiday, an impressive 430,000 fall flowers have recently been planted, creating a mesmerizing display. The colorful cosmos gracefully sway in the autumn breeze, while simple fall flowers create a picturesque scene reminiscent of a watercolor painting.
As visitors explore, their gaze is met with the sight of hundreds of millions of chrysanthemums, the earliest blooming flowers in the country. A visit to Suncheon Bay National Garden during this holiday season provides a rejuvenating experience filled with the essence of autumn.
The Suncheon Bay International Expo Garden Center has also attracted over 700,000 visitors during this festive season. In addition to marveling at the breathtaking autumn flowers, visitors can participate in various experimental events such as singing competitions and arm wrestling competitions, held at the Lake Garden Performance Hall in the National Garden. On the third day of the holiday, a record-breaking number of more than 215,000 people visited, adding to the cumulative number of visitors that has exceeded 7.5 million since the opening of the Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo last April.
Just a short distance away from the National Garden, the Suncheon Bay Wetland reveals waves of magnificent silver grass. The remaining holidays promise to be a full immersion in the beauty of the fall season.
