Bali: PV Sindhu in the semi-finals of the Indonesian Open Super 1000 Badminton Championships. In the quarterfinals, Sindhu advanced to the last four after defeating South Korea’s Sim Yuj in a three-game bout.
Sindhu was back in games two and three after missing the first game in an exciting quarterfinal. The match lasted one hour and six minutes. Score: 14-21, 21-19, 21-14.
India’s men’s doubles team also reached the semis. Chirag Shetty and Satvik Reddy defeated Goh Se Fei and Noor Izuddin of Malaysia. The victory of the Indian alliance was for direct games. Score: 21-19,21-19.
