‘Super Mario’ Animated Movie Delayed to April 2023

The long-awaited Super Mario animated movie that many fans have been waiting for won’t make it to Christmas this year.Nintendo earlierAnnounceIt will delay the release of the new film from December 2022 to April 2023, and the premiere dates for North American and Japanese theaters have been confirmed on April 7 and 28, respectively. As for the reason for the delay, Lao Ren did not disclose it, and it is not clear whether it is related to the epidemic. In an official tweet, Miyamoto said it was a decision he made with Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri, and promised that “everything will be worth the wait.”

Preparations for the Super Mario animated film began in 2017 and have been a “priority” for Illumination over the past few years. In the film, “Star-Lord” Chris Pratt will provide the voice for Mario, while Luigi and Princess Peach will be played by Charlie Day and Anya Taylor-Joy respectively. In addition, stars such as Jack Black and Seth Rogen will also participate in the dubbing of the film.
