singleton’s SuperValu, located in Hollyhill on the northside of Cork city, has temporarily closed its doors for the second time in a month, according to a notice posted on Monday, September 30, 2024. Staff anticipate a reopening on Friday, October 4, 2024.

previous Closure and FSAI Order
On September 4, 2024, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) issued a closure order to Crimdale Developments Limited, the owner of the store, which is currently in receivership.The FSAI lifted that closure order on September 6, 2024.
The FSAI has not yet released the reason for the September 4 closure order, but a full report is expected to be published in October 2024.
Pest Control Issue cited in September
Following the initial closure, a Musgrave spokesperson stated that the temporary shutdown was to allow for “essential maintenance works.” The spokesperson further clarified that the maintenance was related to a “pest control issue.”
