Supplied a chest AI solution to Lunit’s largest hospital in South America

Lunit announced on the 19th that it has signed an agreement to supply Lunit Insight CXR, an artificial intelligence (AI) image analysis solution for chest X-rays, to the Albert Einstein Israelita Hospital in Brazil.

Einstein Hospital is the largest hospital in South America, operating three general hospitals with more than 600 beds, 10 satellite hospitals, and 24 outpatient care centers. Under this contract, Lunit will supply the solution to hospitals for three years until 2025, and the hospital will use it to read approximately 40,000 chest X-ray medical images per year.

Lunit Insight CXR is an AI-based product that diagnoses 10 chest diseases, including lung cancer and pneumothorax, with 97-99% accuracy. CEO Seo Beom-seok said, “We will focus our sales force so that this contract can be the basis for actively targeting the South American market.”
