Survey shows marketers think AI like ChatGPT won’t steal jobs in 3 years : InfoQuest

Bloomberg News reports that a recent survey by MLIV Pulse found that the vast majority of economists and traders do not use AI and do not see it as a threat to their careers.

The survey, conducted between January 30 and February 3, said advanced AI was the main threat to careers in the finance, legal and technology sectors. 292 said they did not see their jobs as being at risk of being taken over by AI within three years, although most work in the financial sector.

Those who took part in the survey were almost equally vocal about whether this type of technology was worth investing in, with only 12% saying they use AI in their investment work and 27% saying that they intend to use it. More than half of all respondents said they were not even considering using AI to help them invest.

However, the survey results are in stark contrast to the recent trend in a market where more companies are flocking to advanced AI, with the rise in popularity of ChatGPT and news that Microsoft has acquired open AI (the developers of ChatGPT) is the current trigger. Giants such as Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta and Amazon are competing to dominate the market with generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT and DALL-E that can generate text and images by simply typing commands or can have a human-like conversation on various subjects
