Suvarnabhumi Airport expects passengers During the Chinese New Year, approximately 465,453 flights, 4,957 flights, 37.12% increase from last year.

Mr. Kittipong Kittikachorn, Director of Suvarnabhumi Airport, Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), revealed that during the Chinese New Year festival between January 26 – February 7, 2022 (total 13 days), Suvarnabhumi Airport (DOT) Forecast the total number of passengers traveling through the Police Station during that period A total of about 465,453 people, or an average of about 35,804 people per day, compared to last year’s Chinese New Year festival, the Police Station will have an increase in the total number of passengers traveling through and out, divided into international passengers. (Including inbound – outbound) about 115,931 people in the country (including inbound – outbound) about 349,522 people

The estimated total number of flights in this period is 4,957 flights, or an average of 381 daily flights compared to last year’s Lunar New Year. This was divided into 2,138 international flights (including inbound – outbound) flights, a decrease of 1.88%, and domestic flights (including inbound – outbound) of 2,819 flights, an increase of 96.31 percent. There are frequent airlines and charter flights (Charter Flight) totaling 10 airlines requesting to add extra flights (Extra Flight) totaling 50 flights, divided into 16 domestic flights and flights between Countries with 34 flights, of which the top 3 airlines requesting to add the most special flights (including arrivals and departures) are Bangkok Airways, 14 flights, Myanmar Airways 8 flights and T-Way Airlines 8 flights

Mr. Kittipong added that To celebrate and welcome the Chinese New Year 2022 (Chinese New Year 2022) during 25 January – 3 February 2022, the Police Station has decorated the area for taking pictures.
