Suwon Korea Electric Power Corp. against Woori Card in the semi-playoff of professional volleyball

The men’s professional volleyball team, which ended the regular season through the bad news of Corona 19, will enter the postseason with the semi-playoff between Suwon Korea Electric Power Corporation and Seoul Woori Card held at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 1st.

KEPCO secured a second place in the regular league on the 30th and won a new victory with a set score of 3-1 (16-25 25-23 34-32 25-19) against Uijeongbu KB Insurance, which went straight to the playoffs, with 56 points. (20-16), narrowing the gap with third-placed Woori Card (59 points, 17-19) to three points, and advanced to the postseason for the first time in five years since the 2016-2017 season.

As the Korean Volleyball Federation decided to shorten the men’s postseason due to the suspension of the regular league for 18 days due to the spread of Corona 19, the semi-playoffs and playoffs will be played one-on-one, and the championship game will be played in a three-to-two system.

KEPCO joined the spring volleyball team with difficulty, but the prospect of the semi-playoff with Woori Card is not bright.

KEPCO lost all 6 matches against Woori Card this season, and is also inferior with 20 wins and 32 losses.

Moreover, out of 6 defeats this season, 3 0-3 defeats and 3 1-3 defeats are far behind in performance.

Leo Andric (registered name: Leo), a foreign player newly recruited by Woori Card for the postseason, is also a burden.

Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) conceded 29 points to Leo, who played against Woori Card on the 27th, and lost 1-3, clearly realizing the true value of Leo.

Leo, who returned to the V-League after two years, lived up to the expectations of our card with a nimble and high RBI bang, and his collaboration with his teammates was close to perfection.

KEPCO, despite being inferior in many ways, is determined to play an all-out war against second-placed KB Insurance as it dramatically advanced into the postseason.

If KEPCO surpasses Woori Card, it is worth trying against KB Insurance, which is ahead with 5 wins and 1 loss this season.
