Swapna Suresh, accused in gold smuggling case SCST commission member S. Ajayakumar said that there should be a crackdown on the exploitation of tribals. Every year 350 crore NGOs of the Central Government pass through. Many of these are not with the knowledge of the state government. A thorough investigation is needed in this regard. SCST commission member S Ajayakumar said the state and central governments would be asked to investigate. SCST Commission member S Ajayakumar also demanded that the state government be given the responsibility of overseeing the utilization of funds coming to the NGO. The inquiry of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission against HRDS is not following the appointment of anyone. Assignment is their own thing. The Commission will not interfere in it. But the commission will intervene if there is a complaint of tribal exploitation. S. Ajayakumar, a member of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Commission, told the media that there was no politics in the investigation. The case is based on a complaint that an uninhabitable house was built for tribal families in Attappadi.

The commission will also look into allegations of attempted lease of tribal land. The Commission for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes has also directed to submit a report on complaints regarding HRDS to the District Collector and SP.
