Sydney Test; India lose first wicket, Rohit Sharma finds rhythm outside Gill

Sydney: India lost two wickets in the second innings of the third Test. India lost openers Rohit and Gill.
Australia got their first break when young batsman Shubhman Gill was brought into the hands of Heiselwood Payne. Later, Rohit came back trying for a big shot.

The opening pair split after India scored 70 in the second innings, similar to the first innings. Gill scored 31 off 64 balls with four fours. Rohit returned with 52 off 98 balls with five fours and a six.

India now need to overcome 315 runs. In the final session of the fourth day, India should not lose wickets in the remaining minutes. The challenge for India is to survive the Australian bowling attack for the entire fifth day.

On the fourth day, Australia declared 312-6. Australia declared their innings at 407. Labushen scored 73 and Steve Smith 81.
