But Muhammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib combined for the seventh wicket to put Afghanistan ahead in the final overs. Both batsmen scored 43 runs in the last three overs. Nabi hit five fours off 32 balls for 35 runs and Naib hit four fours and a six off 25 balls.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan took one wicket each for 22 runs in four overs while Imad Wasim took two wickets for 25 runs in four overs. Hasan Ali Nalover 38-1 and Hasis Rauf 37-1 in four overs.

Earlier, the Afghan won the toss and elected to bat. The team that batted second has won all four of its previous matches in Dubai. However, Afghan captain Mohammad Nabi won the toss and elected to bat. After winning the toss, Nabi said it was better to bat first on a dry pitch. The assessment is that the team bowling second will have a snowfall problem.
