Tickets for this month’s ICC T20 World Cup Super Fight in India are in high demand in the UAE. Tickets for the match went on sale and sold out within hours. The much-anticipated India – Pakistan match will be played on the 24th of this month at the Dubai International Stadium.

Fans of both the teams have been excited since India and Pakistan joined the same group in the World Cup. Due to the ongoing political tensions between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, the two will only face each other in ICC tournaments. Fans are eagerly awaiting the head-to-head match between the two as the fights of the arch-rivals have so far presented fans with exciting moments. It is clear from the fact that tickets for the match were sold out within hours that this excitement has not hit a snag this time around.

The ICC had earlier said that 70 per cent of the spectators would be admitted to the stadium for the World Cup. The Dubai International Stadium can accommodate 25,000 spectators. The ICC has stated that 70 per cent of the spectators will be admitted and 18,500 spectators will be able to watch the game from the stadium.

Tickets for the India-Pakistan match were on sale in various categories including General, General East, Premium, Pavilion East and Platinum. Tickets were sold through the ICC website. Within seconds of the ICC announcing the start of ticket sales for the match, cricket fans stormed the site. By Sunday night, all but the premium and platinum tickets were sold out. By Monday morning, these were also on sale. Premium tickets cost more than Rs 30,000 and platinum tickets cost around Rs 52,500.

A total of 16 teams will compete in the World Cup, with eight teams competing in the qualifying round and the subsequent Super 12 round. The Super 12 stage will be divided into two groups of four teams that will win from the qualifying round.

India and Pakistan are in the second group, group one and two. Apart from India and Pakistan, the other teams are New Zealand, Afghanistan, Group A runners-up and Group B winner. Group One includes the defending champions West Indies, England, Australia and South Africa, as well as the Group A winners and Group B runners-up. The teams that finish in the top two from both groups will advance to the semis.

The first semi-final will be played on November 10 in Abu Dhabi. The second semi-final will be played on November 11 in Dubai. The final will be held on November 14 in Dubai. The ICC has announced that there will be a reserve day for the semi-finals and finals
