T20 World Cup: Qualifying round climax; The Super 12 movie will be released today

Dubai: The final matches of the T20 World Cup 2021 qualifying round will be played today. Ireland will face Namibia vs Ireland in a match that starts at 3.30pm. The winning team will qualify for the Super 12. Sri Lanka vs Netherlands will take on Sri Lanka in a match starting at 7.30 pm. Sri Lanka had already secured a place in the Super 12.

The picture in Super 12 became clearer as Scotland and Bangladesh advanced with victories. Scotland will play in two groups, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and New Zealand. Ireland or Namibia will be another team in the group. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will play in the death squads of Australia, England, South Africa and the West Indies.

Papua New Guinea beat Shakib with record

Bangladesh secured their place in the last 12 by defeating Papua New Guinea by 84 runs in the decisive match. Papua New Guinea were bowled out for 90, trailing Bangladesh by 181 runs. Only two people saw the two. Shakib Al Hasan took four wickets while Mohammad Saifuddin and Tuskin Ahmed took two wickets each. Mohammadullah was Bangladesh’s top scorer with 50 off 28 balls. Shakib scored 46 and Lytton Das scored 29. Shakib was Man of the Match for the second time in a row.

Scotland with historic achievement

Scotland, meanwhile, entered the Super 12s with their third consecutive win. Oman were bowled out for eight. This is Scotland’s first appearance in the Twenty20 World Cup. Oman’s 122 runs over Scotland with 18 balls to spare. Kyle Coetzer (41) and Richie Berington (31 not out) led Scotland to victory. George Muncie scored 20 and Matthew Cross scored 26.

Only three men in the Oman line saw two wickets. Akhib Ilyas was the top scorer with 37 runs. Josh Davy took three wickets, Safian Sharif and Michael Lees took two wickets each.
