Chennai | India’s first Chess Olympiad gets off to a flying start. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the function held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, South Indian film star Rajinikanth and others. Players from 187 countries participate in the Chess Olympiad.
