Taiwan added 15,033 new local confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, a new single-day high, and three more patients died.
New Taipei City accounted for 5,797 new confirmed cases, followed by Taipei City with 3,099 cases, Taoyuan City with 2,193 cases, and Taichung City and Keelung City with more than 700 cases each.
The epidemic command center said that the three newly deceased people have not completed the vaccination, and one of them was a man in his 80s who had no injections and had chronic diseases. The other two dead, both women, were in their 60s and 80s.
