A Dutch woman in her 30s, posing for a photo shoot from a cliff, instantly fell 100 feet (30 m) down and died.

According to the British media Daily Mail on the 3rd (local time), Joe Snokes, 33, from Limburg, the Netherlands, and her husband Joey Jansen were traveling to Belgium while climbing a cliff in a village in Luxembourg.

Husband Janssen said, “After the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we drove across Europe and enjoyed driving a camper and taking beautiful pictures. “It was always foggy there, so I thought it was perfect for taking pictures.”

They prepared a drone to leave an unforgettable trip as an ‘aerial photo’, and they moved to the cliff around 9 am accompanied by two dogs.

“I was taking pictures on the edge of a cliff,” Janssen said. “My wife said to me, ‘Look at the puppies while taking pictures,’ and I told them to turn around and wait.” But when he turned to his wife again, she was nowhere to be seen. It happened in just 5 seconds.

“I didn’t see or hear anything, I didn’t hear any rustling, I didn’t hear any screams, I didn’t hear anything,” he said. I could only see dust,” he recalled at the time.

Soon after realizing that his wife had fallen, he called for help, and scuba divers, medical helicopters and emergency services rushed to the scene, but found only her cold body. Police said it is believed that she slipped off a cliff and drowned in a river.

“My wife took the photos with great enthusiasm,” Janssen said. That was her last selfie.”
