Amir al-Mu’minin Sheikh, a senior Taliban member, was quoted as saying that Hibatullah Akhunzada was killed in a suicide attack by Pakistani forces last year. The Taliban has been led by Mullah Hibatullah Akhunzada since 2016.
There have been many rumors that Hibatullah Akhunzada, the supreme leader of the Taliban, has never appeared in public. In addition, his failure to address the public and participate in government formation talks led to the conclusion that Akhunzada was no longer alive. This was a big discussion on social media.
