Scenes of the Taliban burning his musical instrument in front of a singer are now widely circulated on social media. The incident took place in Paktia province of Afghanistan.

The video was shared by an Afghan journalist. The video shows the singer crying as he sees the Taliban burning a musical instrument and a gunman laughing at him.

The Taliban has banned songwriting in Afghanistan. Performing live music during a wedding is also prohibited.
