Choi Ji-man (31, Tampa Bay Rays) took the lead in escaping the team’s four consecutive losses by hitting multiple hits (more than two hits in one game) in two games in a row.

Ji-man Choi appeared as the designated hitter 4 times in the 2022 MLB visit against the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland, USA on the 19th (Korean time) and hit 2 hits in 5 at-bats. Picked up 2 RBIs.

Tampa Bay won 7-6 thanks to Choi Ji-man’s decisive hit in the ninth inning, which set a stepping stone to the victory.

Choi Ji-man, who retired with a ground ball at first base in the first inning and a straight hit from shortstop in the third inning, drew a two-run arch that crossed the right-center fence in the fifth inning, leading 4-2.

It is the sixth home run of the season after 9 days since the game against the St. Louis Cardinals on the 10th.

Choi Ji-man sprinted to the top of the team in the season with 34 RBIs.

Choi Ji-man, who struck out in the 7th inning, hit a left-handed hit through the defensive shift in the first base of the ninth, which was 6-6 in the beginning of the ninth.

To prevent left-handed hitter Choi Ji-man from pulling, he exquisitely cut through the gap between third baseman and shortstop who were driven to the right from their spot.

Arald Ramirez scored the finish line with a sacrifice fly in the first full base run followed by Randi Arosalena’s fit ball.

Choi’s season batting average rose to 0.293.
