The Ministry of Science and ICT announced on the 17th (local time) that it is holding a completion ceremony for the Korea-Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology (VKIST) at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park in Hanoi, Vietnam.

VKIST is the largest R&D research institute ever in Vietnam, where Korea and Vietnam invested $35 million (about 43.3 billion won) each, and a total of $70 million (about 86.7 billion won) between 2014 and 2023. It includes facilities such as three research buildings, one main building, a central machinery building, and a wastewater treatment plant on a site of 70,000 pyeong.
