TAT Collaborates with SBRB to Enhance Personnel Levels and Promote Creative Learning in Information Tourism

LAMPANG – In a joint effort to foster creative learning processes in the realm of information tourism, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Office of Information Management and Development (Public Organization) (SorBor.) inaugurated the workshop entitled “Promoting creative learning processes in the form of knowledge tourism” at Suan Dusit University’s Outdoor Education Centre in Lampang.
The workshop marks an extension of the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) project between TAT and SBRB, aimed at collectively promoting knowledge-based tourism and enhancing personnel capabilities within tourist attractions and learning centers. The objective is to facilitate the organization of learning experiences that are both innovative and immersive, thereby offering tourists a fresh and enriching journey.
To further this collaborative agenda, TAT and SBRB organized a joint training workshop on “Promoting creative learning processes in the form of knowledge-based tourism” in the Lampang province. Taking place from 24th to 26th September 2023, the workshop seeks to develop the community’s learning resources and enhance their capacity for designing engaging learning experiences, positioning Lampang as a knowledge-based tourism destination.
Ms. Yuripan Saenchaiya, Director of TAT’s Lampang Office, emphasized the workshop’s focus on knowledge transfer and the development of local tour guides’ competencies. Attendees will engage in various activities such as creative activity design, information path design, and visits to different learning centers in Lampang. The concept revolves around highlighting the timeless allure of Lampang, a city that is steeped in history and offers a blend of diverse cultures.
With its well-preserved living traditions and architecture, including iconic attractions like the ancient city area, the Chinese market “Kad Kong Ta,” and the majestic Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, the city guarantees an enchanting experience that transports visitors back in time.
This workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and understanding of creative learning processes, enabling them to enhance their work processes and provide efficient information services in tourist destinations. Ultimately, these efforts will enhance the presentation of creative and innovative tourism experiences, ensuring continued support for quality tourism.
