Teenager breaks into Tokyo University exam room and slashes 3 people randomly

A 17-year-old boy from Japan broke into the entrance examination room of the University of Tokyo in Bunkyo Ward on Saturday (15th) with a sharp blade, and randomly slashed three people, including high school students who came to take the test. The police arrived after receiving the report and arrested the juvenile on the spot on suspicion of attempted murder. It is reported that he is also a high school student taking the exam this year.

The Japan National University Entrance Examination Center and the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Agency said the incident happened at about 8:30 a.m. on Saturday on the campus of the Yayoi campus of the University of Tokyo, where the university entrance exam was being held. Those who were beheaded included an old man in his 70s and one male and one male candidate. All of them were beheaded on their backs, and they were still conscious when they were sent to the hospital. The male high school student was seriously injured, while the other two suffered minor injuries.

After his arrest, the teenager confessed to the crime and confessed that he had set fire to a subway station near the University of Tokyo before the knife attack. The exam was held as scheduled at 9:30 in the morning. The University of Tokyo public relations stated that the details of the incident are currently unknown and are still being understood.
