A recent episode of the entertainment program ‘High School Mom and Dad 4 Adults Don’t Know’ on MBN presented the harrowing story of Choi Mi-kyung, who became a mother at the age of 16 after enduring a miscarriage at 15 due to her father’s domestic violence.
Choi Mi-kyung’s story was portrayed as a re-enactment drama in the show. At the age of 14 in 2018, after her parents’ divorce, she found solace in Kim Gyu-young, her cousin’s friend who was three years older than her and in the second year of middle school.
Having gone through similar hardships, Choi Mi-kyung and Kim Gyu-young formed a deep connection. The latter took care of Choi Mi-kyung’s younger siblings like a responsible older brother. Eventually, the two started dating upon Kim Gyu-young’s confession, and at the age of 15, Choi Mi-kyung discovered that she was pregnant.
