Colombo: South Africa lost the ODI series to Sri Lanka. South Africa beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the last match of the T20 series to sweep the three – match series 3-0. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 120 for eight in 20 overs while South Africa reached the target in 14.4 overs.
For Sri Lanka, only opener Kushal Perera (39), skipper Shanaka (18) and Karunaratne (24 *) batted well. Avishka Fernando (12), Dhananjaya D’Silva (1), Rajapaksa (5) and Kamindu Mendis (10) failed to make a significant contribution. For South Africa, John Fortune and Rabada took two wickets each.
In reply, Reesa Hendricks (56 off 42 balls) and Quinton de Kok (59 off 46 balls) smashed South Africa to reach the target in 14.4 overs.
