Thrissur ∙ State Single Ranking Tennis Tournament organized by Kerala Tennis Association will be held from December 1 to 7 at Kinatinkal Tennis Club, Puzhakal. Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Under 18 Male-Female Singles and Doubles will be held.
The competition is coordinated by the Thrissur Tennis Trust and the Area Tennis Association. The winners of the singles title have prize money of up to Rs.14,000. Only players settled in Kerala are eligible to compete. Competitions on a knockout basis. The competition will be played on 3 outdoor courts and indoor courts. One of these is Muncourt. There will also be floodlight competitions. Players who want to take part should submit their bids before 5 pm on Tuesday. Registration should be completed between 2pm and 4pm on Wednesday.
All India Tennis Association approved balls are used for the matches. Chairman PK said that there will be no competitions in the events without at least 8 attempts.
