Currently, Thai durians are not subject to import duties in 17 countries, partners that Thailand also have FTAs. Only South Korea still imposes a 36 percent tariff on durian from Thailand, but under the Regional Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) signed in November 2020, Thailand can push South Korea to further reduce fresh durian taxes. Thai It will gradually reduce taxes to 0 in the 10th year after the RCEP agreement comes into effect.
